IDV broke ground on a second building for FMC Technologies on February 22, 2016 to mark the start of construction for FMC’s new Supercenter in Odessa, TX. IDV and FMC were joined by Director of Economic Development for the Odessa Chamber of Commerce, Scott Jones, and other city officials to kick off the ground breaking celebration.
FMC will use the ~48,378 SF pre-engineered metal building for the repair and maintenance of surface well heads as well as for warehouse and office space. The facility will consolidate three business units in Odessa: their wellhead, flow back and measurement solutions divisions according to documents submitted to the city. FMC has promised to add 10 new full-time jobs to its current staff of 47 with an average wage of $45,000 per year according to Odessa American online newspaper. The building will sit on ~19.38 acres. Completion is scheduled for first quarter of 2017.
IDV previously delivered a ~57,125 SF regional research, testing and repair facility to FMC in April 2015. This facility is located in south San Antonio and occupies over 35 acres.
