The City of Odessa received its August sales tax check in the amount of $3,557,335.98.

The Odessa Development Corporation will consider their 2012-2013 budget during their meeting at 2 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall.
If the board adopts a resolution for their budget, it will be subject to approval by the Odessa City Council during their next meeting.

A longtime presence in West Texas banking, Richard “Buz” Browning attended his first Odessa Development Corporation meeting as a board member Thursday afternoon.
“It’s a little bit of a learning curve,” Browning said, but said he thought his first meeting had gone well.
