We are focused on Odessa’s economic development. Our priorities are recruiting new businesses to build/relocate to Odessa and retaining/growing existing businesses and to keep them here.
The ODC provides job creation grants, capital investment grants and other incentives for businesses seeking to expand in Odessa. The ODC can help fund land, buildings, equipment, facilities expenditures, targeted infrastructure and improvements for projects that promote or develop new or expanded business enterprises
Some of our most recent success stories include
- a $2.1 million business expansion grant to Orrex Plastic Companies. Orrex manufactures a variety of technical plastic products which are used in a wide array of applications on many national brands.
- A relocation grant to Rental King, a heavy equipment rental company that has committed to a $2.1 million dollar investment in Odessa
- Infrastructure grant to ICA Development, Inc. (ICA) to support infrastructure of their 150-acre mixed-use development in Odessa near State Hwy. 191 and Yukon Road, which will include industrial parks, workforce housing, commercial development and retail development. The support for infrastructure improvements will support growth and development projects in this entire area including utilities, roadway and drainage improvements that open up the entire area to future growth. The new Bass Pro Shops will be located in this area.
